NH Wedding Photographer | a day in the life. . .
Aahhh…. Where to begin. I can tell you that it’s March, and technically it is still currently my “slow season”. It’s funny saying that though. “Slow Season”. Because when you’re a business owner, it’s never really slow. There is always something that has to be done. What I can tell you- is that I’ve spent the last few months completely re-vamping, stream-lining, implementing new systems, and coming up with fresh new ways to make my business stand out. I’ve attended classes, conferences, and so many webinars that I don’t think I can fit any more info into this little head of mine. haha ( you know what I mean) LOL
I’ve been taking all of this awesome info and putting it to good use! (Hey… you can never get enough education right?!) So now that I’m finally getting a grasp of everything, I thought that I would write a little bit so my clients can get to know me a little more.
Well, It’s no secret that I am an NH Wedding Photographer and a Keene Senior Portrait photographer! haha Trying to come up with something different and interesting to write about was a challenge. I thought and thought… and I kept coming up with nothing. Other than the fact that I have a potty mouth, poor punctuation, and I seriously lack any sort of writing skills– What on earth could I right about? I’m just a common everyday Joe ( or Joanne!? LOL) who is working her ass off trying provide for her family. (With the hopes that one day- maybe someday– my husband will work with me and we can truly make this a family biz! Ha, That would be so awesome- because then we would actually get to see him! (he works sooo much to provide for us. <3 )
I’m just an everyday gal who has her frustrations, insecurities, and dreams. I make mistakes that I learn from and I’m loving life more and more every day. Each day is a blessing- even the days when we do “nothing.”
AAAHHH and the lightbulb turn on!…. THAT’S IT! That’s what I’m going to write about!!! Nothing. ( I’ll explain … keep reading!)
I have the most awesome clients in the world. I can say that because my clients are my friends- and that alone has become the very foundation of my business. I want to be authentic- and I want my clients to be the same. I want to get to know everyone on a personal level. Hang out. Drink Wine 😉 and be able to talk about everything under the sun. I want to invite you into my everyday life.
Sooo…. What’s a perfect way than to show you a “day in the life”.
Now… my goal was to take pictures that represented a typical lazy weekend day…. however, You will see that my youngest (KYLE) is sporting his suit and tie. We don’t dress up to hang around the house. However…. Kyle was having a different “vision” for these images. His inner artist wanted fancy pics. My vision? Well… I wanted to capture authentic images that showcased us doing… well… NOTHING.
So after I took a few with him in his suit and tie… I was able to capture some of what I was going for. No perfection. No posing. Just real.
The reason for taking these images wasn’t for a blog post…. it was to surprise my husband. The kiddos and I are designing a MASSIVE custom wall design to showcase our little family. The plan is for the display to be on the wall by the dining room table… so that one morning, when he is coming home from work all tired – he will see our gift to him. A little out of order here- but later in the day we tried a Science Experiment. (Throw Boiling Water into freezing air to see snow)
Here- is the only picture of Bella. (Bulldog) She likes to sleep with her face smooshed into the furniture- and that makes for some boring images. ha

Remember to take pictures of the ones you love. Everyday. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed- what’s guaranteed is today. This moment. Even the moments of “nothing”…. Cherish it.
