Katie and Alden’s wedding at Sterling Ridge Resort was a perfect example of this. The venue was surrounded by stunning fall foliage, and the couple’s photos perfectly captured the season. I had the honor of photographing their engagement session a little while ago and was already friends with Katie back when we met at a wedding before. It was an exciting time, and the couple had already planned for their Sterling Ridge Resort wedding for this October. Meet Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins
My lovely couple has now been together for over 9 years. Iโve witnessed several unique weddings, and I just love it when the couples go the extra mile to ensure the day is special not only for them but for their guests too. Katie and Aldenโs sweet gestures for their family members totally melted my heart.
Each member of the wedding party was a family member of the couple, either a sibling, sibling-in-law, or a cousin, and it was such an intimate touch to their wedding. My couple gifted the dads and each groomsmen custom-made ties, each with a topography design of a mountain in Vermont where the couple had a special memory with that particular family member. They definitely struck gold with unique wedding gifts ideas!
A special highlight was the pearl necklace that Katie wore on her wedding day. The pearls that were used in it were actually given to her at various points in her life, which her mom took and had them made into a necklace for her.
Katie And Aldenโs Sterling Ridge Resort Wedding
Katie and Alden’s fall wedding photography was simply gorgeous. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Sterling Ridge Resort, the photos captured the perfect blend of rustic elegance and natural beauty. I started my day photographing the bride and groom as they got ready. Katie was ecstatic and looked absolutely radiant in her flowy white dress, and Alden looked dashing in his gray suit. I took a few solo portraits of the couple and some shots of the wedding party. My couple also had an emotional and beautiful first look. It was a pleasure to capture the love and joy of this day for them.
Every detail of the event was perfect, from the stunning flowers to the delicious food. Katie and Alden’s beautiful wedding ceremony took place in a picturesque clearing with a scenic background. The lighting was perfect, the setting sun illuminated the river flowing behind them, and the soft breeze added a touch of romance to the scene.
The groom’s processional began, and everyone turned to watch as the groomsmen made their way down the aisle. The coupleโs adorable dog, Bridger, was the special groomsman. The ceremony was touching and personal, and with big smiles across their faces the entire time, it was clear that Katie and Alden were deeply in love.
It was fun photographing Katie and Aldenโs romantic couples portraits. The grounds were beautifully landscaped with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, and the colorful leaves provided stunning backdrops for photos. We even got Bridger to pose, and he totally stole the show with his playful antics.
The reception was held in a beautifully decorated pavilion where the family had gathered to celebrate Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins. Katie and Alden looked like they stepped out of a fairytale as they enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife. The reception truly came alive when everyone hopped onto the dance floor, showing off their dance moves and partying the night away with the newlyweds.
