Some love stories begin quietly, long before the wedding day arrives. For Alexandria and Stephen, theirs began with an engagement session in Putney on December 17, 2025. Their winter engagement session gave us a chance to photograph the two of them simply being together, while also setting the tone for what would become a beautiful summer wedding. Months later, on July 11, 2026, their story continued in Bedford, New Hampshire, surrounded by family, friends, soft summer light, and the timeless charm of Bedford Village Inn.
Their Wedding at Bedford Village Inn brought together everything that makes a summer wedding feel effortless: beautiful florals, elegant details, an outdoor ceremony, a lively reception, and plenty of room for the people they love most.
From a Winter Engagement to a Summer Wedding
When Alexandria and Stephen stepped in front of my camera for their Putney engagement session, we were still in the heart of winter. Yet their connection already made the images feel warm. That session became the beginning of a much bigger story. By July, the scenery had completely transformed. Green trees surrounded Bedford Village Inn, flowers were in full bloom, and the warm New Hampshire afternoon created beautiful opportunities for natural, airy photographs. As a photographer, I loved seeing how their relationship carried from that first session into their wedding day. The excitement was familiar, but this time, they were getting ready to become partners.
The wedding morning began with the bridal party getting ready and the final details coming together. At Luxe Salon & Spa, Alexandria and her bridal party prepared for the day with hair styling that complemented the soft, elegant feel of the wedding. Lamoureux Artistry completed the bridal beauty look with polished makeup that photographed beautifully in the natural light.
Alexandria wore a stunning Justin Alexander wedding gown from Vows Bridal. The gown had a classic bridal silhouette with delicate detailing that moved beautifully throughout the day. Her bouquet, created by Flowers by LindseyM, brought soft pastel blooms and fresh garden-inspired texture into the design.
The bridesmaids wore coordinating light blue dresses, creating a soft palette against the lush greenery surrounding the venue. Meanwhile, Stephen and his groomsmen prepared in polished formalwear from Giblees, bringing a timeless, refined look to the wedding party.
Even the smallest details had their place. Stationery, floral arrangements, reception tables, and personal touches came together to create a wedding design that felt elegant without losing its warmth.
Saying “I Do” Beneath the New Hampshire Trees
Soon, it was time for the ceremony. Guests gathered outdoors beneath the trees at Bedford Village Inn, where rows of chairs faced the ceremony space. The surrounding greenery added a natural sense of intimacy while allowing the couple and their guests to remain at the heart of the setting.
Alexandria walked with her father toward Stephen, bouquet in hand, as their family and friends watched. The ceremony felt personal, joyful, and wonderfully present. After exchanging their vows, the newlyweds walked back down the aisle together, greeted by the smiles and cheers of everyone who had come to witness the moment.
After the ceremony, we gathered Alexandria and Stephen with their families and wedding party for photographs. These portraits captured more than everyone looking at the camera. There were hugs, laughter, little interactions between friends, and plenty of excitement now that the ceremony was officially behind them. We also photographed the wedding party together against the greenery of Bedford Village Inn. The soft blue dresses, formal suits, colorful bouquets, and natural surroundings created a beautiful combination of color and texture.
Just the Two of Them
When it was time for Alexandria and Stephen to have a little space to themselves. Their couple portraits gave us the chance to slow everything down. Away from the movement of the wedding party and guests, Alexandria and Stephen could simply enjoy being newlyweds. We walked through the property, using the gardens, trees, architecture, and warm summer light to create photographs that felt natural and romantic.
These were the photographs where the day seemed to pause.
A Reception Filled With Music, Toasts, and Celebration
The reception began with a grand entrance that immediately brought everyone to their feet. Then came Alexandria and Stephen’s first dance. Surrounded by their guests, they moved across the dance floor together before the evening shifted into speeches and toasts. Friends and family shared stories, laughter, and heartfelt wishes for the couple. Soon afterward, Frederick’s Pastries’ beautiful wedding cake took its place among the reception details. With its elegant design, it fit naturally into the soft and refined wedding aesthetic.
Then DJ Thrilla took over the party. The open dance floor stayed lively as guests danced, laughed, and celebrated late into the evening. The energy continued to build as the night went on, giving Alexandria and Stephen one more part of their wedding day to simply enjoy.
Before the night ended, we stole the couple away once more for a few final portraits. The softer evening light created a completely different atmosphere from their earlier photographs, giving the day a beautiful closing chapter.
