OMG! Who wants to see more from this Light and Airy Engagement Session at Riverview Farm?
This was the first time I was at the Riverview Farm! And it didn’t disappoint! (Not to mention, that Tiff and Tyler were the perfect couple to explore with this beautiful property with!)
Engagement sessions are beneficial for so many reasons. First… it allows us to really get to know each other and to start to really develop a fun-loving, trusting relationship. It’s also a great way to relax, have fun, and get some amazing portraits of the two of you.
The more relaxed you are on the wedding day, the more natural and beautiful you will look in your photos, and an engagement session will do just that! Not to mention that we start out with snacks and drinks first. My treat!
Tiffany and Tyler were guests at Marielle and Tim’s Wedding almost a year ago now! And guess what…. now I get to photograph their wedding next fall up at their family wedding venue!
These two make the cutest couple. (And they photograph so well together!)
While sitting and enjoying a beverage I got to learn all about Tyler’s Career. He is a K-9 cop. Man… it was so awesome to hear all about him and his K-9 partner! (I wish we could have included the dogs in our session) I seriously just kept on asking questions. Did you know that the dog and his human go through training together? I didn’t know that!
And Tiff, well she is a girl after my own heart… A nurse! She recently moved from Labor and Delivery, over to Pediatrics. I didn’t have as many questions for Tiff, as I used to be a nurse. So I could totally relate to the stressors and rewards of being a nurse.
Tyler and I met through my BEST friend Preslee! (One of my maid of honors and Tyler’s cousin). My friend Preslee saw Tyler out at a bar one night. He and Preslee got to chatting and he stated he was single. Long story short, she gave him my number! (which, I had no idea happened because I wasn’t even there that night.)
A few weeks later, as I was hanging with Preslee, he happened to friend request me on Facebook. She then said… “ohh yeah I forgot to tell you, I gave him your number.”
That same day he friend requested me, he ended up showing up at the ice cream shop I use to work. When I got home from work that night, he had messaged me on Facebook and stated, “That’s some pretty good ice cream lol.”
Great pick-up line, right?! BUT long story short that’s how it all came about and here we are today, planning a wedding and getting married!
UPDATE: VIEW THEIR WEDDING AT THE BARN ON THE TOP OF THE WORLD!!
I did a ride along with him in his cruiser and then we went back to his house and watched a movie. It was very simple and sweet.
Well, he proposed in the midst of COVID LOL. We were supposed to go on an All-Inclusive trip to Punta Cana, but that ended up getting canceled. (And was that was his original plan to propose)
So one Sunday, he asked if I wanted to go for a walk with the dogs, on our 11 acres of land, behind our house and I said Yes. We were just about back to our house AND he said “Tiffany” AND I knew right then something was happening because he rarely calls me by my full name unless he’s mad at me or being serious LOL. I turned around and he was pulling a small little box out of his pocket and got down on one knee and that was it! I said YES. I’d be lying if I told you I didn’t blackout a little bit. I was shaking and crying and had zero control over it!
We love doing outdoor activities together, walking with our dogs, hunting, fishing, hiking. We love going out to dinner with friends and family but we also love a night in watching movies.
Tyler loves hunting, fishing, farming, and playing men’s league Softball. I run a side business, as a Virtual Health and Wellness Coach and that is my passion. I also enjoy hiking and love all things home decor and fashion.
Tiffany’s laugh (adorable not annoying) and Tyler’s dry sense of humor (adorable, yet annoying at times LOL).
GREAT!!!! I want things to slow down because I’m enjoying every second of it AND I feel like our day will be here before we know, which also makes me excited too. But so far I LOVE wedding planning.
Enjoy every second of it and do what you feel is best. I’m a very Type A person, but I’m learning everyday, that everything will work out the way it’s suppose to AND some things will always be out of our control, so just focus on what you can control and trust that it will all come together!
