A romantic wedding in Manchester, Vermont, has a charm all its own. With the Green Mountains nearby, historic buildings, and beautiful gardens, it’s a lovely setting for a New England wedding. Sarah and Scott’s wedding featured soft pastel details, an elegant style, and a relaxed atmosphere that suited them perfectly. Of course, their dog Ollie was part of the day, too, making the celebration even more personal.
Sarah and Scott’s engagement session took place at the Kimpton Taconic Hotel on June 18, 2025. It was a chance to photograph the two of them together in a relaxed setting ahead of their wedding. A little over a year later, we returned to the Taconic to document their wedding day. This time, the hotel was filled with the excitement of the occasion, carefully chosen details, familiar faces, and Ollie joining in on the celebration.

Morning Preparations
Sarah spent the morning getting ready with her bridal party, with excitement building as the final details fell into place. Her Watters wedding gown from Flair Bridal brought a romantic, refined touch to her bridal look. Vermont Bridal Beauty styled her hair in a polished yet natural style that suited her beautifully. Her bouquet by Tipsy Tulip Designs featured delicate blooms in soft blue, blush, cream, and peach, setting the tone for the wedding’s pastel summer palette.
Scott wore a classic suit from Suit Supply, keeping his look timeless and tailored. The wedding party wore soft blue and peach, carrying the pastel color palette throughout the day. The invitation suite, floral arrangements, and carefully chosen details followed the same aesthetic, creating a cohesive look that felt elegant without being overly formal. Each element complemented the next, while the soft colors and thoughtful styling suited the charm of a wedding at the Kimpton Taconic Hotel in Manchester, Vermont.
A Classic Vermont Ceremony
Before Sarah walked down the aisle, she shared a first look with her dad, a touching moment between the two of them. Soon after, Sarah and Scott had their own first look, exchanging smiles, laughter, and a warm embrace as they took in the moment. With the excitement of the day settling in, they spent some time taking portraits around the property before joining their guests.
Sarah and Scott exchanged vows in an elegant outdoor setting at the Kimpton Taconic Hotel, surrounded by family and friends. Live music added to the atmosphere as guests gathered for the ceremony. Scott walked down the aisle first, followed by Sarah, escorted by her dad. With her bouquet of soft pastel flowers in hand, she made her way toward Scott as he waited for her.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds gathered with their families and wedding party for photographs. Their furbaby, Ollie, joined Sarah and Scott for portraits, making the photos even more personal. The Kimpton Taconic Hotel’s gardens and historic architecture provided a beautiful backdrop, while the scenery of Manchester added to the charm of their wedding photographs.
A Toast to the Celebration
Sarah and Scott kicked off their reception with a grand entrance to cheers and applause from their guests. Their first dance followed, giving them a few minutes to enjoy being newlyweds before the evening turned into a lively celebration. The toasts and speeches brought plenty of laughter, sweet stories, and heartfelt words that reflected just how much the two of them mean to the people in their lives.
Dorset Bakery VT created their wedding cake, a lovely addition to the reception details that suited the soft pastel palette. The Events Sisters brought the couple’s vision to life with thoughtful decor and seamless coordination, creating a welcoming space for everyone to celebrate.
As the formalities came to an end, the dance floor quickly filled with family and friends. The band kept the music going, and before long, everyone was dancing and making memories together. It was the kind of evening where the best moments often happened in between the planned ones, whether it was a shared laugh, a spontaneous dance, or a hug from someone special.
Later, Sarah and Scott stepped outside for a few final portraits. After a day full of happy tears, laughter, and time with their favorite people, it was lovely to give them a quiet moment together. With the Vermont evening surrounding them, they had one last chance to take it all in before heading back inside to enjoy the rest of their wedding night.
