Brittany and Michael’s Wedding | Bedford Village Inn

When I met Brittany and Michael for their engagement session at Benson Park, the first impression I got was that these two are a pretty down-to-earth couple who are head over heels in love with each other. After seeing these two together, I just knew they were meant to be. It was such a fun time for me to photograph the genuine chemistry between them, and when they chose me as their wedding photographer, as you can probably guess, I was on cloud nine! Brittany and Michael’s wedding was the perfect setting for light and airy photographs, which is my specialty. From the flowers to the venue and decor – everything was simply picture perfect.

Brittany and Michael’s Wedding

Brittany and Michael were actually high school sweethearts, who went to their senior prom together, but lost touch after high school. They didn’t see each other for 13 years! And then, social media stepped in to reunite these two when Brittany sent Michael the prom photo on Facebook, and they met up for a drink. Fast forward to spring 2022, these two lovebirds got married in a gorgeous ceremony!

My bride and groom definitely have a goofy side to them. This is something I noticed during the engagement session and even on the wedding day when I was taking their couples portraits. Even though we were on a tight schedule and didn’t have too much time for Brittany and Michael’s portraits, I feel like I was able to capture the essence of their big day with whatever photogs we ended up getting. They are so adorable together. Goofing around, laughing out loud, and making funny faces – that’s what this couple is all about. Since these two are so good at just being themselves (and looking stunning while they are at it), I hardly had to tell them what to do.

I started the day by taking getting ready photos of the lovely bride. Brittany looked so stunning in her custom-made bridal gown. I would have regretted it if I didn’t; so I somehow found the time to squeeze in some additional bridal portraits of her. The bride and her mom share the sweetest bond, and getting that in the wedding photos was an absolute delight. Brittany’s mom even gave her a necklace as a surprise gift on the wedding day.

The wedding ceremony included both Irish and Filipino traditions. This is also another thing that I love about being a wedding photographer. I get to learn about so many different cultures and traditions that I wouldn’t get the chance to do otherwise. So, Brittany and Michael, if you are reading this, thank you for introducing me to new things in life!

After the ceremony came the reception party and oh man, it was a total banger! After the traditional dances, which were full of sweet moments that I caught on camera, everyone joined the bride and groom and set the dance floor on fire. Everyone was dancing and celebrating, and I’ve got to say, it was one of the most beautiful reception setups I’ve ever seen.
