Emily And Chase | Bedford Village Inn Wedding

As a wedding photographer, the wedding day timeline is that one thing that you wish does not get disrupted by anything because more often than not, it means less time for photos, especially couples portraits. However, what do you do when mother nature decides to rain on your parade (literally)? Well, you use the time you have left and still take the best photos of your couple and their guests. And this is exactly what happened at Emily and Chase’s wedding at the Bedford Village Inn. So even though it started raining immediately after the wedding, the family and wedding party as well as my bride and groom gave me their best angles and poses, and we did manage to get some lovely photos in the end.

Emily And Chase’s Wedding Day

I started the day by taking getting ready photos of Emily and Chase. Emily had the perfect bridal glow and she looked stunning in her dress. Chase and his groomsmen were photo shoot ready too, so I made sure they got to have some of the spotlight too. The couple did not want a first look, so we did all the individual shots before the ceremony and the combined photos after.

For some couples, it’s really no big deal if it happens to rain on their wedding day and they have to go with a plan B. Emily and Chase were the same way! They didn’t let a little rain stop them from having the most fun! AND… even though it rained- Emily and Chase still had their wedding ceremony outside! Which was their dream.

Freezing Moments Forever

The wedding ceremony was really sweet. Chase cried as Emily was walking down the aisle, and it was just one of those moments that I had to freeze for these two forever. I love the fact that Emily and Chase can always look at that photo and feel what they felt in that very moment. During the ceremony, the groom surprised Emily with an extra wedding band. She wanted one of those fused wedding bands, but Chase didn’t like those. So he got her a surprise extra band so she could wear one on each side of her engagement ring. Safe to say, this is exactly what the best of both worlds looks and feels like.

I had photographed Emily and Chase’s engagement session before, so I knew these two had bad mouths, but on the wedding day, I quickly realized their families were the same. Basically, they were just like me, so I felt at home in the presence of these wonderful people. They were also so much fun and couldn’t wait to get the party started, and therefore, Emily and Chase’s party actually started early. The first dances were so heartwarming, and there was a lot of laughter during the toasts. And once the dance floor was open to all, everyone was happy to groove along with the newlywed couple.

Emily and Chase, you two are superstars! I loved being your wedding photographer and I really enjoyed meeting all your loved ones. It was endearing to see you both become man and wife, and I am so honored to have played this little role in your love story. Even though on that day, life did give us lemons, I do think that we made the best damn lemonade that was ever made. Emily, I am so happy you got the wedding you wanted! Congratulations and I wish you both a very happy marriage!
