Katie And Justin | Bedford Village Inn Wedding

Katie and Justin are one of the happiest, chirpiest, and most laid-back couples I’ve had the pleasure of photographing – twice!! Before I photographed their wedding at the Bedford Village Inn, I also shot their engagement session at the Barn at Gibbet Hill. Since I connected so effortlessly with them during their engagement session, you can only imagine how excited I was to watch Justin and Katie become man and wife and play my little role in their wedding day story. Surrounded by their loved ones, Katie and Justin had a beautiful summer wedding, and the venue was absolutely perfect for what they had planned for their big day.

Katie And Justin’s Wedding Day

The wedding day started with getting ready photos of the bride and groom and their wedding party. Katie looked radiant in her bridal dress and the groom looked so handsome. I also took some detail shots of their invitations, florals, and the rings – something I make sure I do at all the weddings I photograph. Watching Katie and Justin see each other for the first time on the wedding day was pure bliss.

This wedding had several special and memorable moments. Justin’s cousin and uncle officiated the ceremony together. And infused a lovely story and lots of humor into the ceremony, which was just perfect. They also surprised the couple with a box of personal notes written by the guests for them to open on their anniversary. Also, during the first look and the ceremony, Justin actually brought Cheez-Its because he knows that Katie loves snacks. That was funny and totally adorable. And I’m all for a bride who takes her snacks seriously! It was honestly one of the loveliest ceremonies I’ve witnessed.

Like I said during their introduction, the bride and groom were very, very laid back because after the ceremony, they were all about dancing the night away with their friends and families. Katie was incredibly calm on the wedding day. And I love how she didn’t hold back her quirky, funny self. She was truly who she was on her wedding day, and it made me so happy to see that. I remember when I had asked Katie during their engagement session whether she had any wedding planning advice for other couples, she instantly replied, “Be stress-free and make it fun!” And on the wedding day, it certainly felt like she took her own advice.
