Hanging out with Michelle and Andrew was so much fun! These two trekked all the way from CT for their Engagement Session at Alyson’s Orchard!
Alyson’s Orchard proved to be the perfect location for what these two were looking for with their engagement photos! Beautiful Views, Waterfront, Orchard, and the list goes on! It’s such an amazing location, no matter the time of year!
With every passing year- I love my job more. I’m forever grateful for the awesome people I get to meet and hang out with. Each couple brings their own uniqueness to the table!
Michelle and Andrew are two busy professionals, so I’m happy that we were able to fit in their engagement session so soon after they booked with me. And it’s at the engagement session, where we can truly get a feel for each other! (And it’s usually the engagement session that gets me sooooooo excited for each couple’s wedding!!)
It was so awesome to see these two and how they have fun together. I’m always honored when couples let me in so that we can capture moments that will be forever treasured.
I always say that photos aren’t meant to be perfect. I would much rather a session reflect the personalities of the couples, rather than images that are posed to perfection. It’s important to me that, their future kiddos, look back one day and say…
” Gee, Mom and Dad STILL look at each other like that”
And I think it’s safe to say that we were successful with Andrew and Michelle’s Engagement Session at Alyson’s Orchard!! And although I can’t post every single image here… there are quite a few that show the couples playful nature. (Which always makes me smile!)
Michelle and Andrew will be getting married at the Equinox in Manchester Vermont next June!! I’m looking forward to getting to know them more over the next year!!!
So why don’t I show you some of the fun photos we made during our time together! (And you can read more about them too!!)
We met online via the Bumble App. Michelle messaged Andrew on January 4, 2017, and luckily Andrew replied within 24 hours of her reaching out so that their match didn’t disappear! While they connected right away a combination of conflicting schedules and Michelle injuring her knee skiing kept us from meeting in person for two months. We texted just about daily during that time though!
Our first date was at a local brewery/ pizzeria called Brewport on March 18, 2017. The pizza and beer were pretty good but the company was the best! We were nervous at first but quickly felt comfortable and loved every moment of finally being together. We made plans to go out again three days later for a trivia night and have been together ever since!
On Thanksgiving weekend 2018, Andrew stealthily picked up his great-grandmother’s engagement ring from his grandmother, who offered it to him not long after she met Michelle for the first time the year prior. Andrew then carried it with him for several months waiting for the right moment to propose. That moment came on February 10, 2019, when Michelle and Andrew were out on a walk and talking about their future hopes and dreams. Upon returning home, Andrew surprised Michelle by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him. She said yes 🙂
We both love Vermont, spending time in the outdoors, as well as sampling different beers at local craft breweries. Also, quiet evenings at home when we can snuggle up on the couch and watch one of our favorite shows together.
Michelle enjoys skiing in the winter and tennis year-round. She is very happy to be able to do both again after having ACL and meniscus surgery. She also likes reading (English major) and knitting, although there isn’t much quiet time to do those these days! Michelle greatly enjoys coffee, cheese, and catching up with friends. Andrew spends much of his free time volunteering with a local Boy Scout troop. He is an Eagle Scout and has been active in helping young scouts become successful adults since he was a youth in the program. He also enjoys hiking and backpacking (he has hiked the whole Long Trail in Vermont!).
Things are coming along very well. We have our venue confirmed and many of the vendors lined up. Michelle has found her dress. We are working on the finishing details now. Our vision for our wedding day is getting to celebrate with all of the people who mean the most to us in a beautiful setting with a fun party and tasty food!
Try not to sweat the small things and keep the bigger picture in mind. It doesn’t matter if everything isn’t exactly as you planned, the most important thing is that when all is said and done you get to marry the person that you love and spend your lives together.
Michelle works for a continuing medical education company, which conducts live conferences around the country as well as online programs for nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Andrew is an electrical engineer working for a defense contractor who specializes in radar algorithm development.
