Nina & Sam | Purity Springs Resort Wedding

I love photographing different types of weddings, and Nina and Sam’s was the best of both worlds. When Nina and Sam decided to have a traditional western wedding as well as a Hindu one, I knew that it would be a unique event to photograph. And I was right! The festivities went on for three days and were filled with lots of love, laughter, and light. These two were the most chill, relaxed couples I have had the pleasure of working with. The photos from their Purity Springs Resort wedding turned out to be amazing, and here’s a glimpse of what went down during their multicultural wedding.

Nina And Sam’s Wedding Celebrations At Purity Springs Resort

Nina and Sam had a civil marriage three years ago and were waiting for the right time to properly celebrate their union, which for one reason or another (including the COVID pandemic), was getting postponed until recently. The finest things indeed take time. I can attest to that, as it was well worth the wait because it was such a fantastic way to celebrate such an important life event. The wedding ceremonies lasted three days at the beautiful Purity Springs Resort in Madison, New Hampshire. Its picturesque location and natural backdrops made it an excellent place to tie the knot (again).

Choosing a grand venue like the Purity Springs Resort was a great call by Nina and Sam. There were guests from all around the world, including Canada, Australia, India, and New York City, just to name a few. They did a Haldi ceremony (with henna) on a Friday. The western wedding on Saturday, and the Hindu ceremony on Sunday. Nina and Sam, you guys definitely know how to throw a party!

A Three-Day Wedding Celebration At Purity Springs Resort

I started Nina and Sam’s wedding day with their getting ready photographs. With all of their plans in place, they were chill throughout the day. Even their bridesmaids and groomsmen were on the same wavelength, having a lot of fun together. The weather and lighting was simply perfect for my love of light and airy photographs.

Nina started tearing up when she saw Sam during their first look, and he lovingly wiped her tears away. It was such a sweet and incredibly touching moment to be witness to. These two are so in love; I had the best time photographing their private moments together. Also, they are parents to the most adorable little dog, who they’ve named Moxie. I love pets, and as expected, Moxie, too, turned out to be a star in front of the camera.

The western ceremony took place on top of a ski mountain, where we reached by chairlifts. It was seriously such a unique experience, which also led to some pretty unique photos of the guests arriving at the ceremony site. The Hindu ceremony took place near the pond at the heart of the resort. Even with so much going on, it was such a stress-free day, and timelines really didn’t matter. I loved the vibe. Friends and family gathered in the resort’s lush gardens to celebrate the bride and groom. Everyone present there was dancing and celebrating together. It was so much fun to capture all of these happy moments!

One of the special highlights of the wedding ceremony was when Nina’s parents walked her down the aisle. It was so heartwarming! Sam quoted a “poem” for Nina, which were really just lyrics from a Backstreet Boys song. It had everyone laughing! Since they are both gamers – they also had AI write their wedding vows after putting a few things into the algorithm. Even the bride couldn’t hold back her giggles hearing those vows!

I loved capturing all the special details and traditions from both cultures. The best part was how there was not a single dull moment throughout the 3-day wedding. Nina and Sam wanted to celebrate their marriage and did that so lavishly by choosing the Purity Springs Resort as the venue! The whole setup instantly stole my heart. Also, Nina and Sam, if you are reading this, thank you so much for introducing me to so many wonderful people!
