Mike And Maddie | Sugarbush Resort Wedding

What a joy it was to return to Sugarbush Resort, a place that holds such a special connection for Mike and Maddie! I had the pleasure of getting to know this delightful couple during their engagement session, which also took place amidst the serene beauty of the resort. Their infectious laughter and love for each other made their session memorable, and I knew then that their wedding would be nothing short of magical, which it certainly was! From their super sweet first look to their unforgettable special dances, Mike and Maddie’s Sugarbush Resort wedding was all about having a good time! Everything about their wedding was worth an Instagram post (or two!), and I LOVED that even though they were the bride and groom, Mike and Maddie ensured everyone at the wedding felt welcomed and cared for – including their paw-dorable dog, Piper!

Mike And Maddie’s Sugarbush Resort Wedding

I began my day capturing the bride and groom, getting ready for their big day. Maddie’s mom was with her every step of the way, making sure her daughter looked perfect. And let’s not forget about Piper, the couple’s adorable dog, who was chilling on the bed (and probably charging up for some zoomies, haha!).

Maddie’s mom looked so proud of her, and the happiness on her face said it all. The bride had this gorgeous glow about her, and the sparkle in her eyes was all I needed to see how much she was looking forward to marrying the love of her life. And can we talk about her wedding attire? It was laced with elegance and grace, and her flower crown was just as lovely! Maddie was a vision in her wedding dress, and Mike looked super cool and dapper in his suit with his hair tied up in a man bun.

Before the ceremony, the couple shared a lovely first look. As Maddie arrived, Mike held her hand and got a bit emotional when he saw his bride for the first time! In that magical moment, they looked like a real-life prince and princess, radiating happiness and so much love. I was so happy to freeze in time this joyous moment for them.

Mike and Maddie are both very outdoorsy. They had both grown up skiing at the Sugarbush, with Mike’s family owning a house in Warren and spending a lot of time at the resort, while Maddie’s family and friends used to travel to the venue for a fundraiser. When it came to picking a wedding venue, Sugarbush Resort was a no-brainer for them! And if I’m being honest, I must say that this venue was one of the most stunning places I’ve seen. I’m talking about breathtaking mountain views, top-notch hospitality, and facilities that ensure a couple and their guests get the best experience possible.

My beautiful couple had an outdoor wedding ceremony, something that I always look forward to in a wedding. The great outdoors offers such vibrance and beauty that align with my light and airy photography goals. The weather was pleasant, with the warm glow of the sun creating a magical ambiance during their nuptials. Mike and Maddie’s wedding altar was decorated with fresh flowers, and white chairs were placed on the lawn for guests to comfortably sit and witness the beginning of the couple’s ‘forever.’ After saying “I do,” the newlyweds hopped on one of the ski lifts at the resort with the sign “just married” at the back of it! It was such a fun experience!

Enchanting Portraits And A Lively Reception

Following the ceremony, Mike and Maddie generously allocated ample time for me to capture their couples portraits. And WOW! They turned out great! The newlyweds were holding hands,  embracing each other, and stealing kisses. Maddie’s veil added an extra layer of enchantment, making the pictures look oh-so-romantic!

The reception was a splendid celebration of their love. Mike and Maddie just wanted to have a good time, and that’s a vibe I’m always down for. I loved photographing the couple’s first dance, but one of the most memorable moments of the day was when the bride and groom shared special dances with their parents and grandparents. They showered them with hugs and blessings, and I enjoyed capturing every precious fleeting moment of their wedding day.
