Melanie & Tim | The Emerald Door Garden Wedding

Y’all! I got to photograph one of my best friends getting married! Witnessing Melanie and Tim vow to be together forever during their The Emerald Door Garden wedding in New Orleans was a day that will forever remain etched in my memory. As you can imagine, this wedding was extra special for me. Being able to capture Melanie’s big day was an honor in itself. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and true joy. With only their closest friends and family in attendance, the wedding was laid-back, intimate, and personal. And the best part? Every element of the celebration was a true reflection of Melanie and Tim’s vibrant personalities.

Melanie And Tim’s The Emerald Door Garden Wedding

When I arrived at Melanie and Tim’s wedding venue, I found the couple buzzing with anticipation, and I couldn’t wait to capture their special day. Their happiness was amplified by the presence of their kids and Melanie’s fur baby by her side as she got ready for the big day. One thing that instantly made me go “awww” was Melanie’s daughter dressed as the flower girl holding a wooden board that read, “Here comes Mel Mel”. How adorable is that? Melanie looked ravishing in her wedding dress, and Tim looked suave in his short suit, complete with a black bow tie.

Photographing one of my best friends’ wedding, and that too in such a wonderful setting, was an absolute dream come true! The Emerald Door Garden is a charming garden-style venue that was just perfect for this intimate wedding. And don’t even get me started on the ceremony! Melanie’s brother, Robby, officiated the ceremony while Bobbie (the fur baby) and their beautiful children from previous marriages looked on with pride and joy. As they exchanged vows and sealed their union with a kiss, everyone could sense the affectionate and genuine connection between Melanie and Tim. And talking about affection, their couples portraits were filled with lots of dancing and twirling, giggles, and just the most heartwarming PDA.

For their reception, the couple had organized what I could only describe as a feast for their guests. Melanie’s sister, Jenna (who is a professional chef, ready to take over Fritz’s restaurant), catered the event, which was truly a culinary delight. I am telling you guys, she’s really got magic in her hands! This wedding was a true testament to how love can bring people together and help create unforgettable memories. Everyone in attendance held an important role in the lives of Tim and Melanie. So to be invited was such a huge honor. I feel privileged to have witnessed this celebration.
