Itโs no secret that weddings can get a bit nerve-wracking, especially for the bride and groom. Sometimes, there’s so much going on at a wedding that a couple hardly gets to enjoy their special day. But on the other hand, there are some couples who just go with the flow (and an incredibly skilled wedding planning team). I love a laid-back couple as much as the next wedding photographer. And Brittany (who is also a photographer) and Greg were hands down one of the most relaxed couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Naturally, their wedding day was also super chill. And I genuinely feel that most of that has to do with the couple themselves. So kudos to my bride and groom for making this day so easy for me!
My slogan is: Light and airy wedding photography for couples who embrace unfussy elegance, and Brittany and Greg fit that perfectly. Their wedding was the ideal mix of elegant and classy with just the right touch of easy-going and relaxed.
Both Brittany and Greg lost their fathers. But in their own unique ways, they honored their dads on their wedding day. Brittany gave Greg a pair of cufflinks, which were the very same ones that Greg’s mom gave to his dad on their wedding day. And Brittany had a photo of both her dad and her recently passed grandmother on her bridal bouquet. One of the most memorable moments from the wedding was during the parent dances when Brittany brought her mom out on the dance floor (along with her Maid of Honor and twin sister Caitlin), and they all had a light-hearted dance in lieu of the father-daughter dance.
As you can probably already tell, my couple’s wedding was all about their families. Brittany even wore the same veil as Caitlin wore on her wedding day. And Sherri and Laura, the groom and the bride’s mothers, couldn’t help but shower love upon their kids throughout the day. It was so heartwarming to see my couple share such a deep and precious relationship with their mothers.
Aside from the traditional wedding day events, Josias River Farm added its unique charm to Brittany and Gregโs big day. Not only is this place extremely beautiful, but it also had this rope โswingโ that was popular among the adults and great for photographs! Even Brittany and Greg gave it a shot! There was also a treehouse where the kiddos could play. Everyone at this wedding was incredibly fun and down-to-earth, and I had such a wonderful time documenting everything.
