Engagement at Lakefalls Lodge | Morgan & Will

A Peaceful Fall Afternoon in Stoddard, New Hampshire

There is something about an engagement at Lakefalls Lodge in Stoddard, New Hampshire that feels quietly magical. On Thursday, October 9th, 2025, I met Morgan and Will for their engagement session surrounded by the calm beauty of fall in New England. The air was crisp, the trees were turning gold, and the whole setting felt like the perfect reflection of who they are: warm, grounded, and deeply connected.

By the Water’s Edge

We had photos by the lake, where the still water mirrored the trees glowing in soft shades of amber and gold. Morgan and Will sat close together among the wild grass, their laughter soft and genuine. The simplicity of the moment, the way they leaned into each other and shared quiet smiles, set the tone for everything that followed.

These are the moments I love most as a photographer. When a couple forgets about the camera, their true connection comes through naturally. Every laugh, every glance, every small touch tells its own story, and Morgan and Will shared that kind of ease from the very start.

Wandering Through the Woods

After a while, we followed a winding path into the woods that surrounded Lakefalls Lodge. The light filtered through the tall pines in gentle streams, turning the air golden. They walked hand in hand, sometimes talking softly, other times enjoying the quiet rhythm of the forest. There was something peaceful about how they moved together, as if they had always known how to match each other’s pace.

Photographing them in that setting felt effortless. The forest carried a kind of calm that made every frame come alive. The earthy tones of the path, the filtered sunlight, and the soft sound of leaves beneath their feet all blended into a scene that felt timeless.

The Stone Bridge at Lakefalls Lodge

As the afternoon light began to fade, we made our way to the stone bridge. It is one of my favorite parts of Lakefalls Lodge. The bridge, with its weathered stones and quiet charm, curves over the water in the most graceful way. Morgan and Will sat side by side, their feet just above the surface, surrounded by reflections of orange and gold.

The light at that moment was perfect. It softened into a warm glow that wrapped around them and brought everything together. It was one of those times where you can feel how still and beautiful the world can be.

A Perfect Ending by the Archways

We ended the session near the main lodge, a stunning building with rustic wooden beams and arched stone walls. As the sun dipped behind the trees, Morgan and Will stood beneath one of the archways, framed perfectly by the soft evening light. They shared a quiet laugh and held each other close, and it felt like the perfect way to end the day.

Sessions like this remind me why I love engagement photography so much. It is not only about the scenery, though Lakefalls Lodge at 750 Aten Road offers endless beauty. It is about how two people fit together so naturally that every image feels like a glimpse into something lasting.

Morgan and Will’s engagement at Lakefalls Lodge was full of calm, warmth, and simple joy. This day in Stoddard will always stay close to my heart.
