Engagements are a beautiful celebration of love, a time when couples get to soak in the joy of being together and anticipate their future as one. It’s always a special honor to capture these moments, and when it comes to Nelson and Kay, it’s been an absolute delight from the start. Whenever I hang out with Nelson and Kay, we always have a fantastic time. They love photos and are among the most appreciative couples I have ever met. And this time, the three of us got together for their engagement session at Hammond Castle!
I first met Nelson and Kay during their surprise proposal at Beacon Hill. The magic of that moment still lingers in my mind. Nelson’s meticulous planning and Kay’s reaction made for a perfect proposal, one that was filled with genuine emotions and heartfelt expressions. Following that unforgettable proposal, we had an enchanting engagement session at The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home. The historic beauty of the location, combined with Nelson and Kay’s chemistry, made for a series of stunning photos.
There’s no rule on how many engagement sessions a couple can have, and Nelson and Kay are a perfect example of this! I adore love stories, and witnessing how these two are having the time of their lives brings me immense happiness. Recently, they contacted me again, wanting to capture some spring photos at Hammond Castle. This was a place of incredible beauty and historic charm.
Hammond Castle, located in Gloucester, Massachusetts, is a true gem. The medieval architecture, scenic ocean views, and lush gardens create a magical setting for any photo session. The castle’s grandeur and romantic ambiance were the perfect backdrops for Nelson and Kay’s engagement photos.
From the moment we arrived, the castle’s beauty took our breath away. The stone arches, charming courtyards, and picturesque landscapes provided endless opportunities for capturing stunning images. Nelson and Kay’s chemistry was palpable as they explored every nook and cranny of this enchanting location.
Kay looked stunning in her two outfits. For the first half of the session, she wore a white dress that perfectly complemented the historic elegance of Hammond Castle. Her second outfit, a pretty pink dress, added a pop of color and vibrancy to the photos. Nelson looked equally handsome in his blush pink shirt and beige-colored pants, perfectly coordinated with Kay’s outfits. This couple definitely knows how to dress up for an engagement session!
One of the best things about Hammond Castle is its variety of scenic spots. We explored the castle’s interiors, with its grand halls and intricate details, as well as the beautiful gardens and oceanfront views. Nelson and Kay were excited to explore each spot with me, and their enthusiasm was infectious.
We started with the charming courtyards and rustic doors. The brick walls and lush greenery created a cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for capturing candid moments. Nelson and Kay’s playful interactions and genuine laughter brought these settings to life.
Next, we moved to the stone arches overlooking the ocean, where the serene water provided a stunning backdrop for the couple’s photos. The arches framed their love beautifully, creating a romantic and timeless look. Kay’s white dress flowed elegantly in the breeze, adding to the ethereal feel of the photos.
