Jeanette and Andrew. I seriously don’t even know where to begin. Since day one, these two have been the most gracious, thoughtful and caring people. So naturally, I was so excited to photograph their wedding in Stony Point NY.
Like many couples, this year- their plans were put to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with that comes a roller-coaster of emotions. Even still- these two always kept the safety of their guests at the top of their priority list.
With the change in plans though, they were still able to incorporate Jeanette’s Childhood Church into the day, as well as the Hudson Water Club, which is where Jeanette had previously worked!
Nestled between the majestic Hudson River and the mountains of Harriman State Park, only 25 miles north of New York City, Stony Point is a town rich in history. While I wasn’t there to tour the town, next year I plan on trying to see more of it! (it’s so beautiful!!)
Anyway, Next year… Yes, Jeanette and Andrew’s family and friends will be gathering again to celebrate a vow-renewal and a full wedding style celebration! (Buh-Bye COVID- you’re not invited!)
While this year’s celebration was kept on the smaller size, Jeanette and Andrew still had their wedding parties in attendance. (Though not fully participating as attendants this year. )
I wasn’t able to be with Andrew during the prep time, but I did spend some time with Jeanette! She got ready at the Abby INN and Spa. (WHAT A GORGEOUS HOTEL!)
Before I get onto showing the “getting ready” photos, I just want to take a minute and brag about both the bride and groom.
Jeanette is one of the most beautiful people I know. And when I say that- I’m not only talking about being “pretty”. (Although Jeanette is not just pretty, but GORGEOUS!) I’m referring to her inner beauty, Her generosity, and her grace. Andrew is the same way. Both of these guys placed the needs of everyone else ahead of their own. And I couldn’t be more honored to now call them friends.
Jeanette got ready at the Abby Inn and Spa in Peekskill NY. This hotel is beyond amazing!
The Couple were married in the very same church that Jeanette’s parents were married in! What a lovely tradition to carry on!
With the traditional Catholic values celebrated, the couple was married in the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
Okay- total shout-out to the Hudson Water Club! The staff here were incredible! Coming from a wedding vendor’s standpoint, I felt so totally pampered! They went above to help me photograph the couple cutting their cake, as well as making sure I ate! Everyone was amazing!
While having their reception at the Hudson Water club wasn’t in their original plans, it was the perfect venue for their smaller more intimate dinner! Not only because it’s a gorgeous venue, but Jeanette used to work there years prior! (With a majority of the same staff!) How cool is that?
So While, this wasn’t the typical wedding reception- it was still ever so special with a couple of the same elements. ( Toasts and the cutting of the cake!)
