Where do I begin?! I’m not sure there has ever been a more fun Keene Country Club Summer wedding than Liz and Jacob’s wedding this past Saturday! I’ll be honest- there’s nothing that I love more than hanging with cool people who can truly own their own “weird”. Even the best mans’ speech addressed about how these two’s fun and goofy personalities were perfect for each other. Hearing that- truly made me smile.
Getting to know Liz over the past year has really been incredible. And although I did just meet Jake for the first time in person about two weeks ago- I feel as if I have known them forever. They are just truly beautiful people. And one hell of a fun couple!!! Jake is an accountant (for the federal government) and Liz is a teacher. Living down near Washington DC- they traveled to Walpole to get married in the same church that Liz’s parents were married well over 20 years earlier! (And although not shown in this post- we have a beautiful portrait of Liz standing in the very same spot as her mom all those years ago! )
Beautiful people aren’t beautiful because they are “pretty“, but rather because they are genuinely nice, real and authentic people. Beauty shines from within- and when you are surrounded by beautiful people- you can’t help but be happy. Liz and Jake are beautiful- both inside and out.
But you see- it wasn’t just Liz and Jake that are beautiful!! I was surrounded by so many beautiful people on Saturday!! And that is just one reason why I love my job. I just love it! But the one thing I love most- is when I can call these awesome people- Friends.
I love working with couples who I can see myself being friends with. That’s what makes an amazing experience! Being able to provide a couple with great photos is one thing… but providing the couple with an awesome experience, fun authentic photos, AND a new friendship… well that is priceless. (Do I sound like a Mastercard Commercial?! LOL )
The Keene Country Club provides a beautiful summer wedding atmosphere and there are so many unforgettable photo opportunities too!! We took advantage of heading down towards the stone arch bridge for some beautiful bridal portraits in the soft summer light!! Liz, Jake and I were able to sneak away for just a few minutes to take advantage of the softer summer evening sun for those light and airy photos- All while our DJ Ed kept the party going!!!
One thing I LOVE about the photos that we made- is the genuine and truthful goofiness that shines through. #makesmyhearthappy #besilly #bereal #perfectionisboring
(Hey- it’s okay to through hashtags in there right?!?! LOL )
We came back to the reception only a few minutes later- and the dance floor was still jam-packed full of everyone dancing it up!
