Every couple has their lucky charm – a day, a thing, or a location that always played a beautiful role in their love story or has been a part of their special moments. For Monique and Madeleine, it is most definitely the rain! When I met them earlier for their engagement shoot at Alysonโs Orchard, we had to reschedule the session because the weather decided to switch up on us. Though we were able to move the session to the next day last time around, we couldnโt do anything but make the most of the rain when it decided to show up again at my coupleโs wedding. What a beautiful sign of good luck for their future life together!
Monique and Madeleine exchanged their vows at a gorgeous private residence in Stratton, Vermont. And for the photographs, I let nature play its course, with some stunning images of my couple and their guests captured in my camera while it drizzled.
Monique and Madeleine are quite an impressive couple. They are both investment property owners and own more than 10 properties! And they havenโt even hit 30 yet! Besides, the two young achievers seem to be deeply in love with each other. I had witnessed their strong bond while photographing their engagement session. And Iโm so glad I got the opportunity to capture their magical chemistry again!
I really loved how intimate and laid back Monique and Madeleineโs wedding was. My couple seemed relaxed and happy in each otherโs company and the company of their lovely guests. The ceremony was officiated outdoors, but the reception dinner had to be moved indoors because of the rain. It was still the most gorgeous day! There were so many tiny details that added to the lovely vibe of the wedding. The decor was gorgeous, the table arrangements were incredible, and even the wedding cake blended so beautifully with the understated theme of the day.
From taking detail images and family photos to photographing the awesome bridal party, I didnโt have a single dull moment at Monique and Madeleineโs wedding. I especially loved Monique’s wedding vows to Madeleine. They were hilarious! Everyone was laughing along with the couple. Once the ceremony was over, I took plenty of couple portraits of the newlyweds. A special shout-out to the umbrellas my couple used as props in the rain! We really didnโt have to do much to get the romance to shine through in the photographs.
Iโd like to mention that Iโm a believer of the proverb – if life gives you lemons, make a lemonade! And thatโs exactly what I did when mother nature decided to surprise me on Monique and Madeleineโs wedding day. No matter how much you follow the weather reports, you can always be taken by surprise and thatโs why a photographer should be prepared for all situations. Itโs all about being in the moment and just focusing on giving your clients an experience they will never forget.
Monique and Madeleine, I love you two! Clients like you not only inspire me but also make me look forward to being a part of your future celebrations. I canโt thank you enough for trusting me with your wedding photography, and I wish you two lots of happiness ahead!
