I’m just going to start off by saying that a Mount Washington Resort Winter Wedding is amazing! Sometimes a tad chilly.. but at least we didn’t have those below zero, bone-chilling temps like we had at Kerrie and Daniel’s Wedding on NYE LOL!) That said-Kelly and Colin’s Mount Washington Resort Winter Wedding was a tad more bearable, with temps coming in around 31 degrees! (Can we say a heat wave, anyone?)
Kelly and Colin had an intimate celebration with only their closest friends and family. With only 35 people in attendance, they said “I do” and partied the rest of the night away, sneaking in for soft kisses on occasion. Everyone in attendance was ever so sweet and fun. I had the honor of meeting everyone at a small gathering the night before. This is a huge piece of what LOVE to do. I absolutely LOVE hearing the stories and meeting the friends and family of the honorary couple. (If you are interested in a wedding photographer who truly wants to get to know your story… reach out, I’d love to hear from you. )
You may remember Kelly and Colin from their Engagement Session this past fall! They chose to have their session take place right at the Mount Washington Resort as well. This location holds so much meaning to them, that it only made sense to have their session there too! Now, with every passing year… I’m growing more and more in love with my job. And while I am always striving to improve… and to really find me as an artist… one thing remains the same…. I freakin’ LOVE what I do! And I LOVE working with couples like Kelly and Colin. Couples who are loving. Couples who are authentic, and couples who are fun.
These two had a beautifully simplistic wedding, with neutral light colors. Their whole day was laid back, fun and romantic. Beautiful bright and airy bouquets and simple fur shawls really made for classy and elegant pictures.
The “getting ready” portion of the day, is probably one of the most amazing parts of the day. There is so much anticipation, excitement and wonderful memories being made as you bond with those closest to you. Kelly was such a calm bride. Take a peek below.
I’m a huge believer in having a first look on your wedding day, but only if that is something that the couple feels is right for them. For Kelly and Colin it was the right choice for them. To see Colin’s face when he saw Kelly for the first time was magical. To watch a groom hold back tears of Joy… it makes me love my job so much more.
Kelly and Colin’s ceremony was simply beautiful. Intimate, heartfelt and well… romantic. Kelly was given away by both her Mother and Father.
