Erin and Mike’s wedding day at The Inn At Manchester in Vermont was as adventurous as the couple. They had an unexpected guest at their wedding – rain! But that didn’t stop them from enjoying their day at all. The super chill couple welcomed the rainy weather with open hearts, turning what could have been a hindrance into a memorable part of their wedding day story. They had a lovely first look in the rain, a touching ceremony, and a phenomenal reception with a live band that had everyone dancing and singing their hearts out!
Erin and Mike are no strangers to me. I photographed their engagement session at Mountain Ski Area. As seasoned skiers, they were in their element, and oh boy, did we have fun! We spent the day skiing, exploring different spots, and laughing like we’d known each other forever. The photos from their engagement session still bring a big smile to my face. So when they asked me to photograph their wedding, I didn’t think twice!
Erin and Mike had a wonderful wedding at The Inn At Manchester. The venue offers a plethora of activities for guests to enjoy, from hiking and golf to fishing and skiing. And knowing the love these two have for the outdoors, The Inn at Manchester was the perfect venue for them!
Erin looked like a vision in her elegant bridal dress, and her colorful bridal bouquet added the perfect pop of color to her wedding day look. Mike was every bit the dashing groom in his suit and tie. Surrounded by the lush greenery at The Inn At Manchester, the couple had their first look. And just as that was about to happen, it started raining. But did they let that faze them? Not one bit! And thanks to a trusty umbrella, the couple still ended up doing their first look outdoors. The look on Mike’s face when he saw Erin was priceless! His face instantly lit up, and he walked to his bride to give her a big hug. Despite the rain, it was truly one of the most heartwarming first looks I’ve ever photographed.
After the first look and some couples portraits, it was time for Erin and Mike’s ceremony. The venue was decorated with flowers, similar to the ones in Erin’s bouquet, and it all came together so beautifully. Right before they gave her away, Erin’s parents pulled her into the biggest, tightest hug. And you could just tell that these three had a whole lotta love for each other. The whole room was fixated on that moment, and it was like you could practically feel that love in the air. It was really something else.
Holding each other’s hands, Erin and Mike exchanged their vows and embarked on their new journey as husband and wife. It rained most of the day, turning the ceremony and the couples portraits into a bit of an adventure. But we got through it, and everyone had a blast!
Talk about a couple who loves to party! Mike and Erin threw an incredible reception at the venue’s famous celebration barn. The fairy lights on the ceiling added to the magical evening, creating a warm and cozy ambiance. The newlyweds had their first dance, and soon enough, the dance floor was packed with guests, all swaying, singing, and laughing into the night.
Erin and Mike, you both are rock stars! Seeing you guys again was like catching up with old friends! I can’t thank you enough for choosing me as your wedding photographer. Congratulations once again, and I look forward to photographing your future milestones. Here’s to many more adventures together!
