Liz + Brian’s Summer Wedding at The Equinox Resort

Gosh,  I LOVE what I do.  That’s why it’s hard for me to call it a “job”.  Because when you think of “job”… you think of “work”.  And work isn’t supposed to be fun.    Well… not for me.  I am so incredibly grateful for what I get to do for a living.  Often can’t believe it.   I approach every wedding day with a mixed amount of nerves and excitement.   I know how important this day is, not only for the couple but to their families, friends, and future generations who will one day appreciate the photos that I made from their day.   It’s an incredibly huge responsibility and it’s one I don’t take lightly.   It’s an honor that I don’t take for granted.   Your wedding day will live on in the hearts of those who attended, and in the photos that were made from that day.  Wow!

The Couple

I first met Liz and Brian over appetizers and drinks a few months back- (though they have been booked for a while- this is first time meeting in person)  It was great to just sit down, enjoy some drinks and get to know each other.   Immediately I loved their easy-going nature, with a hint of humor and goofiness!  (This goofiness showed through in some of their portraits on their wedding day too! )

Dr. Brian Walker is an anesthesiologist, and Liz is a Nutritionist who both live and work in NYC.  They vacation often to the Green mountain state and decided that The Equinox Resort would be the perfect place to celebrate their wedding day!  This venue is incredible, and I love how the Liz and Brian kept the decor simple,  allowing the natural beauty of the property to shine.

Liz and Brian met at the hospital they both work at!  It was actually a funny story too- as at first, Brian thought Liz was married!  Thank Goodness he realized he had her confused with one of her best friends Lisa!!  (Lisa actually officiated their ceremony and it was so beautifully done. Her words were infused with the perfect amount of humor and seriousness, allowing the story of the couple to really shine!  Nice job!! Even though she is also a Nutritionist- she could make a killing at marrying couples!  )

The Wedding Day

The flow of their day was perfect!   The Bride and her ladies got ready in the Charles Orvis Inn- and the groom was with his entourage over in the main hotel.   The entire wedding party was so helpful and kind.  (Mixed with a lot of fun too!! )  We then headed to the first look, where the rest of the wedding party met us after!

Liz was the most incredible, amazingly exquisite bride!  Her simple, elegant dress was to die for!  Everything about Liz was perfect.  (and I NEVER use the word perfect, but in this case… it’s true)   Liz was the perfect bride.  (oh and just wait until you see how handsome Brian is, and how ADORABLE Cooper was!!!  ( You will be seeing Cooper soon!!)

I simply can’t wait to show you more from their day!  I’ll start off with a just a few pictures from the night before!   But before I do that-  I just want to say.  Thank You.  Thank you, Brian and Liz, for allowing me to be a part of your day.  It means the world to me and I look forward to hanging out with you again!!  Congratulations!!!
