Being a wedding photographer, I get to see the power of love every single day. The pandemic not only had many couples rescheduling their plans, but sometimes, it also ended up testing their relationships. But, from my experience, I believe that love will always bring together those who are meant to be. Ali and Brian had a sweet and intimate wedding last year, keeping all COVID protocols in mind. But the couple was eager to celebrate their union in style and in the company of their family and friends. And that’s exactly what they did when they had a mountain top wedding at the Sugarbush Resort in Vermont. I loved that despite having high expectations from the day, they were realistic, fun, understanding, flexible, and ever so amazing!

Ali and Brian are both very outdoorsy. They love hiking, mountain climbing, and going on adventures together. So having a wedding on top of one of Vermont’s most gorgeous mountains was a no-brainer for them. The wedding venue, Sugarbush Resort, was one of the most gorgeous venues I’ve seen. The breathtaking views, top-notch hospitality, and facilities ensured that the couple and their guests got the best experience possible. Hailey, the wedding coordinator at Sugarbush, was incredibly helpful, funny, and on top of her game. I enjoyed working with her and would love to go back to Sugarbush Resort to shoot more weddings in the future.

On their wedding day, Ali and Brian were up for lots of fun and ready to party! The best part was that the couple and I already knew each other because I was also the one who photographed their engagement session. So, the wedding day just felt like I was reuniting with a couple of old friends of mine. Ali’s aunt was the officiant at the wedding. She incorporated the perfect amount of humor and seriousness into the ceremony. Ali’s brother and his wife sang and played the guitar during the ceremony. It was so heartwarming to see how the bride and groom had their family play such a big role in making their big day even more special!

Brian got Ali a very unique gift which she didn’t open until after the ceremony. So we were able to get some legit photos as and when this happened! Ron Pope is my couple’s favorite artist whose concert dates were just released. Brian surprised his bride with VIP Meet and Greet tickets for the concert. Ron Pope’s “Our Song” was the couple’s first dance song too. So this was a very special surprise for Ali.

The parent dances at Ali and Brian’s wedding were SO lively. And I especially loved Ali’s father! He was full of fun, energy and didn’t shy away from letting his goofy character come to the fore. He had a blast, and I had a blast photographing him too! I also took some photos with Ali and Brian’s hiking backpacks to incorporate my couple’s love for hiking and adventure! And guess what? These were the same backpacks my couple had used for their engagement session! The best photos were the ones I took on top of the mountain after the vow renewal ceremony. Ali and Brian were running, dancing, laughing, and just enjoying every minute of their big day, and I loved seeing them in that mood.
