Surrounded by the ones they love the most, including a super fun wedding party (taking their photos was a BLAST!), Kelly and Colin said “I do” to a lifetime together at the Bedford Village Inn. I had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session, and from being college sophomores sharing a meal at the Cheesecake Factory to now becoming life partners, it’s been a joy getting to know both of them and their journey together. With a romantic proposal in Nantucket, Kelly and Colin were over the moon to begin their newest chapter as husband and wife, and it totally showed on their faces!
The day began with capturing those sweet getting ready moments of the bride and groom. Kelly was an absolute stunner in her lace wedding dress, with flawless hair and makeup to match. And it was heartwarming to see her mom lending a hand with all the final touches before the first look. Colin looked so handsome in his suit, and I could tell he was just so excited to see Kelly!
Filled with excitement and anticipation, the couple had an intimate first look at one of the lush green gardens at the venue. As they stood facing each other, Colin took Kelly’s hand (like Prince Charming!) and leaned in to kiss her gently, making her smile from ear to ear. It was seriously ADORABLE and totally melted my heart!
The bride and groom had planned a lovely outdoor ceremony at the Bedford Village Inn. The natural light was incredible, and the greenery at the Bedford Village Inn always doubles up as the perfect backdrop for ceremony photos. With a gorgeous bouquet in her hand, Kelly gracefully made her way down the aisle, with her proud father by her side. But this wasn’t just any other bunch of pretty flowers; Kelly also carried a small piece of her mother’s wedding gown in her bouquet. Adding to the warmth and intimacy of the ceremony, Aunt Lois, a beloved member of their family, officiated the wedding. Under the blue skies, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows.
As soon as Kelly and Colin entered their wedding reception, the room erupted with cheers and applause. They had planned every little detail so meticulously, including a cigar bar and a super yummy cupcake menu that looked too good not to be photographed. With the DJ spinning the perfect tunes, the dance floor was THE place to be. It was one heck of a party, and nobody wanted it to end!
After the ceremony, it was time for their portraits as newlyweds, and Kelly and Colin also took this opportunity to pop some bubbly and soak in that “just married” feeling, raising a toast to their happily ever after. They looked so happy together, and I am so glad we found this time for their couples portraits because soon enough the party was about to begin, and boy, did they all come together to celebrate!
Kelly and Colin, thank you for choosing me to document not only your wedding but also your engagement. I look forward to photographing your future milestones too! Congratulations, once again! Here’s to a lifetime of trying new food, going to concerts, and loving each other endlessly. Cheers!
