Keene Senior Photographer

When I reflect back on my senior year-  I can’t help but smile.   It was such an amazing time,  filled with many fun memories.   That said,  those fun times were often mixed with stressful responsibilities. Responsibilities that prepared us for the approaching adulthood that is lingering only a few months down the road.    It’s a time of finding oneself and learning who we are as people.

You are not still children,  but also not yet adults.    There is so much uncertainty… yet so much wonder and excitement as you ponder the changes that will soon be happening.  So many “lasts”… last first day of high school.  Last Homecoming.  Senior Prom….  It’s bittersweet.  But with all those lasts… you will be making memories that you will forever look back on.  And smile.   So my advice is… Live in the now.  Enjoy every minute.I LOVE LOVE working with the seniors, and capturing who they are now.  Right this moment.   Each senior session unfolds differently.   Depending on personalities,  some may be a bit more posed… some a bit more playful.  But with each… my goal is to make images which represent who they are.  Today.   Because we can never get back today.   🙂

So I would love to introduce you to Shelby!  This was a special session for me, as we have been friends for quite some time!   I can’t believe that she will soon be a Senior at Keene High!   Let’s learn a little more about the star of the show!!!   (If you’re interested in having Senior Portraits done- Contact me HERE)

• College plans? If so- what is your first choice school?
  My first choice of school right now is Keene State College.
• What do you plan on majoring in? Why?
  I would love to become a Dietitian or Health Coach so that I would major in Nutritional Science. But right now, I’m up for anything!
• Do you have any hobbies?
  In my free time, I like to mountain bike, hike, read, play piano, cooking, and baking. I love exploring different recipes.
• What are some accomplishments you are proud of? (Sports, academic, extracurricular, family etc)
  I was just inducted into the National Honors Society, which I was very surprised about. School has always such a big priority for me, and I’ve improved so much over the years.
• What are you going to miss most about High School?
  I’m not going to miss too much about High School. I’ll miss a lot of the teachers that I’ve had for years.
• What are you looking forward to most after graduation?
  I’m looking forward to whatever comes my way in the future. I’m excited to start exploring what the world has to offer on my own.
• Any other information you would like included?
  One of my dreams I have for my future is to travel around the world.
• Where do you see your self in 10 years?
  I see myself living a simple life in a small town in Northern Maine. Currently I’m trying to live a healthy lifestyle, and hopefully, in the future, I can work in an environment where I can teach others to do the same.
• Do you have any favorite quotes?
  This quote from Jimi Hendrix gives my hope for the future: “When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.”
