Alyson’s Orchard Wedding

Jillian and Christian’s Summer Alyson Orchard wedding this past Saturday was nothing short of spectacular! For starters- let me briefly introduce you to the Dr. and Mrs. He’s an orthopedic surgeon and she is an RN in school working towards her Nurse Practitioner. (You can read more about HERE, which takes you to their fall engagement session!) Aside from their professional sides- they are two down to earth, fun peeps who really enjoy their time with friends and family!

What makes a wedding spectacular?

I’m sure there are many different opinions here- but mine follows. Sure- beautiful flowers, great decor, awesome food, fun music and a stunning venue… those things all help make a wedding day memorable… but in my opinion- it’s the love and happiness that surrounds the day that really makes it magical. It’s the way the guests all come together to celebrate the love the couple has for each other. It’s the way grandma’s eyes light up when she see’s her grandson saying his vows. All those little things, my friends, that makes a wedding spectacular.

Brotherly Love

There were so many things that made Jillian and Christian’s Alyson’s Orchard wedding special! For starters- Jillian had her brother as a part of her bridal party. What a great sport he was too- because along with hanging with the girls- he also donned a floral robe to partake in the getting ready photos! It was the sweetest thing.

I love when I get to witness strong sibling relationships. And I love when I see siblings support each other, like the way Sam supported his big sis on her wedding day. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me miss my brother. That said- seeing the special relationships between my couples and their siblings floods my heart with happiness.

To take their bond a step further- Sam not only was a part of the bridal party- but he also officiated the ceremony. This was by far the biggest surprise to everyone in attendance. I’m sure you can imagine- tears of happiness were abundant. 🙂

Touches of Copper

Jillian and Christian’s Alyson’s Orchard WeddingAlong with being a fun wedding – it was also absolutely beautiful! They had subtle traces of copper splashed throughout the decor. From Jillian’s decorative hair piece to the bouquet and bouts, to the vases and even the flat wear- it really made a fun and different splash of color!

Once the party got started- the groomsmen could be found right out on the dance floor, along with Christian himself (who led the party with his killer dance moves!) There was even a point where his 96-year-old grandmother broke out some dance moves! (You betcha we captured a lot of her dancing!)
