Weddings are one of the most special occasions in a couple’s life. And as a wedding photographer, I always feel honored to be a part of such an important event. Photography is my passion, and weddings are just so much fun! The venue, the dress, the flowers, the decor – all of these beautiful details come together to create a stunning visual feast. And I feel so lucky to be able to capture all of that beauty and share it with the world. Brittney and Nick, another awesome couple that I got to work with, said “I do” at the fantastic Waterville Valley Resort. And it was truly a light and airy wedding photographer’s dream venue (and wedding!).
Located between towering mountains and a lush green forest, Waterville Valley Resort is an ideal location for any wedding. Brittney and Nick, who clearly have great taste in life, were surrounded by their closest family and friends as they said their vows at the Waterville Valley Resort, with the picturesque scenery providing the perfect backdrop.
The day was filled with love, laughter, and lots of amazing light, and that’s pretty much what their wedding photos show too. If you are currently looking for a wedding venue, the Waterville Valley Resort is the perfect place to celebrate your love and offer your guests an exceptional experience. Plus, the venue is AMAZING for wedding photos too!
One of my absolute favorite moments from this wedding were the little moments shared between Nick and his dad, and Brittney and her dear mom as they got ready for the big day. Nick’s dad helped him put on his sleek jacket, and it was such a precious father-son moment to capture. Another highlight was when Brittney slipped into her gorgeous white lace wedding dress, and her mother was there to help her put on her wedding jewelry. I always find these sweet moments between my clients and their parents so touching.
Brittney and Nick’s first look was everything a photographer could ask for. They were surrounded by the breathtaking mountains of Waterville Valley Resort and even sat on chair lifts to get there! The location was perfect for their photos, with the light filtering through the trees, making it so magical. As Nick turned to look at Brittney, he was completely amazed by the way she was glowing!
Brittney and Nick’s wedding was a reflection of their personalities – down-to-earth and fun. Just like they were during their engagement session, they were happy and easygoing the entire wedding day. These two have a great time together, always joking and laughing. Neither one of them are super lovey-dovey with each other, but that is one thing that makes them “them”. Also, I think it’s worth adding that Nick shed a lot of tears throughout the day; during the toasts and dances. It was super sweet.
Brittney and Nick’s Waterville Valley Resort wedding was a beautiful and simple outdoor ceremony. The wooden wedding arch was decorated with minimalistic decorations, which made the ceremony look even more elegant. After Brittney walked down the aisle, the groomsmen brought over this green robe-cum-jacket for the officiant to wear and made it a part of the ceremony. Plus, the ceremony, which was officiated by Nick’s best man Marco (fellow firefighter friend of Nick), was absolutely phenomenal! I don’t think I’ve ever heard or witnessed a funnier and more personalized ceremony.
After being pronounced husband and wife, the happy couple shared sweet kisses as their guests cheered them on. And after some lovely couples and group portraits, it was time for dances, speeches, and cake! The reception area was decorated with sparkling fairy lights and looked so mesmerizing! It was the perfect setting for Brittney and Nick’s fairy tale wedding.
On the dance floor, the couple swayed to the music, and you could feel the love between them! Brittney and her mom shared a sentimental forehead-to-forehead moment on the dance floor, and it was as if the world had stopped. They just held each other, and it was truly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen at a wedding.
This was truly a tight-knit bunch. People were so emotional, and it was really heartwarming to see how loved and supported Brittney and Nick are. Brittney’s dad was crying so much that he couldn’t even get through his speech. Friends and family were bringing them up “toilet paper” as tissues to help wipe the tears away. Once all the traditional events were done… it was party time! And this crew could party! It was a blast!
Brittney and Nick, you both are made for each other, and it was an absolute dream to work with you two! Thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding day photos, and I hope you like the pictures as much as I loved taking them. It was an honor and a pleasure! Cheers!
