I freakin’ LOVE my job! And I love the uniqueness that each couple brings to the table! And the same goes for Sam and Ian!
These two will be getting married at the Top Notch Resort this coming September- and I couldn’t be more excited! But this post is all about their relaxed engagement session in Brattleboro!
Sam and Ian literally trekked about 10 hours for their session, and ended up driving through a tornado! (no shit! I’m not kidding here- they legit had warnings pop up- only to find themselves witnessing the havoc that was left behind. How Scary was that?!!
Without further adieu…. Meet Sam and Ian!!! <3
We actually met on Tinder! He messaged me for a good month before I talked to him..LOL. And we also lived only a couple miles away from each other, went to the same high school and had a lot of the same group of friends. He was a couple of years older than me so we just never crossed paths!
Well, Ian is into bodybuilding and fitness so I was very worried he was going to judge me on every little thing that I ate that night, but he took me to a burger place and turns out he eats way worse than I do!! He was totally opposite than what I anticipated we ended up going to a bar after our dinner because we were having such a great time!
Ian had gotten me a puppy (golden retriever, Lilly) as a graduation gift last May, a couple of months later he suggested we take her to the nearby dog park on a sunny Saturday morning. When we got there he was like “let’s take a walk around the grounds for a little while” and me being the totally obsessed dog mom I was just wanted to let Lilly run around with the other dogs in the fenced in area. So the further and further we kept walking away from the fenced-in area the more impatient I was getting.. After multiple times of begging Ian to turn around, he got down on one knee on a quaint path between a beautiful row of lush green trees and handed me a dog tag that read “will you marry my daddy?” and the rest is history! Needless to say, I instantly felt terrible for making such a stink.
We love to take the dogs to the dog park ( we now have 3). We both enjoy going out to dinner, trying new restaurants and enjoying craft beers. Ian is still very much into fitness and bodybuilding, I also enjoy staying physically active whether it be walking the dogs, spin classes, or hitting the gym. We recently bought a house in these past years so we have been very busy trying to get the house to our liking!
Hmmm, this is a tricky one! Ian said when we are driving I like to tell him which way to go even though he knows where he is going. I can’t really think of one about Ian, he has more annoying habits and he likes to push my buttons. Can’t think of just one thing!
The wedding plans finally feel like they are coming together. Having a destination wedding makes it 10x’s harder for sure! We are looking forward to our trip up there in a couple of weeks to meet with some vendors!
Try to stick to your budget! It is very easy to go over the top with everything and before you know it you’re in too deep. Also, this is YOUR wedding, you should be able to get exactly what you want.
