Ellie and Will’s unforgettable summer wedding at Bald Mountain Camps Resort will forever hold a special place in my heart. From the moment I met this incredible couple, I was struck by their laid-back personalities and passion for simplicity, yet with a gorgeous touch. The intimate details they incorporated, such as having Ellie’s brother officiate the ceremony and her reception outfit made from her mother’s gown, infused an extra layer of sentiment. I LOVED it when they included Bentley (their dog named after the college they both attended) for the ceremony and portraits. Bentley was a part of their engagement session that I had photographed, and I could not get enough of this fur baby’s paw-someness! Surrounded by love and joy from their loved ones, every moment was a testament to their incredible bond.
From the sweet smiles on the couple’s faces to the special moments they share with their friends and family, getting ready for the big day is filled with anticipation and excitement, and I LOVE capturing it all for my couples. Ellie was a vision in her wedding dress, and Will looked dapper in his suit. The first look is always a cherished memory – it’s a raw, unfiltered exchange of emotions, and Ellie shared this intimate moment with her bridesmaids and father. Even Bentley, their beloved pet, was included in this special reveal, adding a unique and heartwarming touch to the occasion.
Seeing Ellie and Will’s love story unfold was special. The rolling hills and river made for a beautiful setting for the first look. I was as excited as Will for the moment, and when Ellie walked up, I could see the happiness on Will’s face. He couldn’t stop smiling! The lovebirds shared their vows in private, and I felt really lucky to be there, capturing it all with my camera.
For the couples portraits, Ellie and Will moved effortlessly against the stunning scenery, adding so much romance and beauty to each shot. And when the bridesmaids and groomsmen joined in, their playful spirits and laughter made the experience even more joyful and memorable. Moments like these make me feel truly grateful for having such an incredible job!
Bald Mountain Camps Resort set the stage for Ellie and Will’s wonderful outdoor ceremony. Surrounded by alpine trees and lush greenery, the couple did a fantastic job choosing such a lovely venue. The light and airy setup was everything I love about weddings, and my heart was doing the happy dance as I took it all in! Yaay! Adding to that, their paw-dorable dog, Bentley, was there for his paw-rents and Ellie’s brother, James, officiated the wedding! It was clear that this was a union full of love and meaning. Even the unexpected rain during the ceremony couldn’t dampen their spirits. They embraced it with open arms, and I had the BEST time freezing in time these memories for them.
Ellie and Will’s wedding reception took place under a gorgeous tent. A love for all things simple yet elegant, Ellie and Will opted for string lights to be hung from the ceiling that created the perfect ambiance for the night. One of the day’s highlights was when Ellie changed into a different dress during the reception. It was made from her mother’s wedding gown, adding a sentimental touch to her big day.
I couldn’t help but smile when they took to the dance floor for their first dance as a couple. They were such great dancers and wowed everyone with their moves. Ellie’s sisters also made this day unforgettable by joining in for the father-daughter dance. They did this choreographed routine to the song “Feels Like a Woman,” complete with cowboy hats – laughter, joy, and love filled the air! Soon, the Bentley Alumni squad joined in to celebrate Ellie and Will’s wedding, bringing these beautiful souls together forever.
