I’m at a loss for words. Seriously. The warm and fuzzies that I get when I reflect back, not only about their wedding at the Inn at the Round Barn but of Allie and John themselves.
As I walked into the Church for the Rehearsal- I was greeted with open arms, welcomed by Allie and John. And as I introduced myself to their closest friends and family, I quickly realized I was surrounded by love. These two are loved… and it was so obvious the entire weekend.
From our first conversation, I knew they were a couple that I wanted to work with! Allie and I have eerily similar childhoods, which really helped me get a feel for who she was. Because of our upbringings- we actually have so much in common when it comes to our “quirks”. LOL And John- well, he reminds me of my Husband! Seriously- the connections we created is a strong foundation for our budding friendship! And now, over the last year, I truly feel like I have gained friends.
Thinking back to their engagement session, I remember just how these two made each other laugh. But it wasn’t until their wedding at the Inn at the Round Barn, where I really witnessed the deep love these two have for each other.
There were so many moments throughout the day that really deserve mention. The one big one is the memory of Allie’s Father, years ago.
Allie lost her father when she was 11. But it was apparent that he is still with her every day. And With the support of Allies’ parents, her biological father was remembered in ways so sweet and tender. From a token given to her by her mother to put on the bouquet, and a special letter was written and read at the wedding… Allie knew that her dad was by her side.
And I think that I need to mention Jan (Allie’s Step-Dad) specifically. He had a speech so perfect, that it incorporated the right amount of humor and tender emotion. (I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house! Either from laughter or the tender side of his speech) He stated that he was the luckiest guy to be able to choose his daughter.
Johns Family was also just so special! I absolutely fell in love with his Mother! Quite honestly- I think it’s safe to say that everyone at their wedding is incredible.
Not only is John Incredibly handsome- he’s as nice as they come! He and Allie are the perfect couple.
Allie- is the most beautiful person. Inside and out.
Allie and John chose to have a first look. This was the perfect opportunity for them to have a few minutes to really savor in the quieter moments before the wedding ceremony.
I truly love the emotional aspect of their first look.
When I asked these guys what they envisioned for their wedding day… this was their response…Allie and Joh
“We’re most excited about simply bringing our families and friends together. All the people we love in one place, what a dream!” ~Allie & John
And they did just that! It was obvious, just how loved these two are. I feel their wedding at The Inn at the Round Barn, was a success!! From their dreamy pastel tones to the fun music and tender moments…. it was an incredible wedding day!!
There were so many different aspects of their wedding day that made the day truly unique! From being married by John’s Godfather Frank… to having a Gospel Choir at the ceremony- it was a party even during the ceremony! (In the most respectful way of course) They drove to and from the ceremony in a Cow Patterned Bentley and toasted with a Vintage Champagne. But most of all… What made the day incredible was
Watching these two melt into each other. And witnessing John comfort his new bride as tears of Joy (and yes, sometimes tears of sadness when reflecting back about Allie’s Father) was unavoidable.
Having a Wedding at the Inn at the Round Barn was absolutely incredible- on so many levels. From the super amazing attentive coordinator Becky- to the beautiful venue itself- it allowed all of Allie and John’s family to truly enjoy the whole experience!
It was really hard choosing the photos to share here. The group at Allie and John’s wedding were all so animated, happy and full of joy.
I truly and heartfeltly meant it when I said that it’s couples like you who make me love my job. You two are just so incredibly sweet, kind and humble. Thank you for being you. xo
