Seventeen. Seventeen is a special number for this couple. Jim’s favorite number is 17. April 17th they started dating. Jim ended up proposing on a July 17th. AND…. and there just so happens to be 17 diamonds in her ring! (And before you ask… this was all a coincidence!! ) So… they planned a 2017 wedding, and at their reception, they sat at table 17! (this was planned… as there weren’t 17 total tables! LOL)
What’s funny though, is how it just goes to show that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes, we humans try to find the “signs” to tell us whether we should, or shouldn’t do something. I think in this case… it’s safe to say that the universe was telling these two something. (Even if it took a few years to really see the coincidences that were happening!)
Emily and Jim are two of the most down to earth, fun loving and real people that I know. From the very first meeting to the wedding day– it was more like hanging out with long-time friends. (Which is a goal of mine with every couple!) Emily and I hung out on several occasions, and every single time I left feeling like I spent time with a long time friend. Along with being able to have attended a portion of the Bachelorette Party(MAN… I wish I could have stayed for the entirety of it!!) – it made my time on the wedding day so much more meaningful.
Their day was filled with so much ( I mean TONS) of little tokens of personalization. From the Amazing blue scarf from Great Great Grandma –to the shot enjoyed by Emily and her Dad at the top of the ceremony aisle…. to the very humorous and meaningful vows shared between the couple, to the first dance… and of course the sweetheart’s table number of 17. Each of the groomsmen had fun, personalized hats that were so funny! Even their cake cutting had a twist to it…. Bets happening as to who would “take the cake”. It was HILARIOUS! (Oh… spoiler alert…. Emily Lost! LOL)
To say that I love my job is a total and utter understatement. I simply can not get over what I get to do for a living. It brings tears to my eyes… that I get to document the beginning of a whole new chapter. A chapter in their story that will one day be passed down through the generations. So…as fun as my job is… it also comes with some pressure. But I wouldn’ t have it any other way.
