“We planned. We unplanned. We married. Now we party.” Nothing could have summed up Kelly and Sean’s sequel wedding better than these words on their Save the Date card. When life throws you a curveball, what option do you have but to bounce back? That’s pretty much what my couple did when their wedding had to be rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While their wedding at the Bedford Village Inn had to be put on hold, they had actually gotten married in October of 2020 in a beautifully quaint and classy intimate wedding. So, getting to meet all their immediate family members once again for the sequel wedding was an added perk for the couple! And man, they really partied hard this time! And I was ready with my camera to capture all the fun moments.
Kelly and Sean are two of the most appreciative people that I know. I feel so fortunate to have gotten so much time to know them better while photographing their engagement session in the past, followed by their backyard wedding last year.
For their sequel wedding at the gorgeous Bedford Village Inn, Kelly and Sean chose to just celebrate the happy occasion with their loved ones! So we had all the activities of a typical wedding day celebration thrown in – just without the ceremony. And that meant there was no stress of rushing through a timeline! Everyone was super relaxed. Also, this time around, the wedding images had a different easy-going feel to them.
At one point, the girls just decided to play cards while waiting to get dressed. If anyone wanted a pictorial representation of laidback, I’d submit the one from this moment. It was just so amusing! But then again, there was emotion aplenty even though this wasn’t the actual wedding.
The bride and groom got to share their joy with everyone who couldn’t attend the ceremony last year, keeping the feelings pretty genuine even at the sequel wedding. To top it all, my lovely couple even recreated the first look from their ceremony last year, with Kelly wearing a different dress this time around. She, however, decided to give the veil a miss for her new look. The way Sean looked at his bride was adorable. That moment was priceless! Another highlight of the day was both the fathers giving a speech together and hugging. So heartwarming! And for me, photographing Kelly and Sean’s wedding celebration at the Bedford Village Inn was one relaxing workday!
