Is this a dream? Do I really get to photograph beautiful, whimsical Summer weddings? Seriously- there are days when I have to pinch myself. Because who really gets to wake up every day and do what they love? I’m blessed and grateful for what I do- and I love every minute of it. What’s even more awesome- is that I know that the couples I work with value photography and the purpose it holds. The value of this craft. With every wedding- my goal is to tell the story beautifully and authentically. I want the future generations to look back at these photos and really start to know who their grandparents or even great-grandparents were. That’s the power of photography- it documents time. It preserves time.
“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving, what you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things long after you have forgotten everything.” – Aaron Siskind
Melissa and Vijay just celebrated their Whimsical Summer Wedding at the BVI. Their day had touches of Rose gold, pinks and lots of light and airy details that would have any bride swooning! But what’s even more impressive, is just how sweet these two are!
Have you ever met genuine nice people? You know- those kinds that you just fall in love with immediately? Well, that describes Melissa and Vijay! You may remember these two from their Boston Engagement Session this past November. When I first spoke with them- I just knew that they were a K. Lenox couple. Authentic, Open, honest… those are just some words I use to describe my couples- and these two are just that! Plus some!
From the getgo- Melissa and Vijay were planning on having this Whimsical Summer Wedding- and she admitted to having so much fun with planning the whole thing! Ultimately though- what I think made their day perfect wasn’t the amazing weather or the beautiful details- it was the outlook that these two had. It was being surrounded by friends, family and loved ones. It was perfect because these two love each other.
Have fun with the process!! Try not to stress over the details. At the end of the day, we’ll be married and that is really all that matters, so enjoy the planning and remember that whatever happens… it will be perfect. ~Melissa
