Scheduling Engagement sessions can sometimes be challenging- especially when my couples are impressive professionals with amazingly active lives! And this was the case with Eric and Erika!! BUT- we were able to finally schedule this Light and Airy Engagement session at Alyson’s Orchard just before the groom-to-be goes off to the policy academy!!
These two are A.W.E.S.O.M.E!! So much in fact- that we actually got together a second day just for drinks and conversation! With every couple I work with- I strive for a friendship that goes beyond the “photographer/client” roles. Whenever this happens- I consider myself the luckiest gal in the world. 🙂 I have to say, Eric and Erika now have a friend for life. hahaha
Hanging out with these guys again, I’m learning that we are more and more alike!! They are super fun… but even more awesome is that they are REAL. We already have a few more dates on the calendar to just hang out!! Whoohoo!
When trying to come up for locations that offer my couples everything they are envisioning for their photos, can sometimes be a challenge. But- Alyson’s orchard checked all the boxes with what these two were hoping for!
Now we all know that Alyson’s Orchard is an enchanting location with so many options. One seriously can’t go wrong here! So a HUGE thank you goes out to Fran and the staff for allowing us to shoot there!
So why don’t I start showing more photos!! LOL
We went to high school together. Mutual friends. We reconnected a few years later via Facebook.
Our first date was when I turned 21. I was celebrating in Portsmouth with girlfriends and he came to Portsmouth to join the celebration. We both ended up drinking too much. He ended up staying the night with us at the hotel. This was our first kiss in the elevator of the hotel!
This is a funny story! It was during our family trip to New Smyrna Beach in Florida. This is a place I have been vacationing since a little girl where I have multiple spots that I call “my spots” that include trails that are enclosed with palm trees that lead to the ocean.
I wasn’t feeling well…
It was on March 25th. (Which is his lucky number!) I wasn’t feeling well decided to go back to the hotel. We ended up getting over the counter medicine. My family asked that we meet that at the condo which was right next to the hotel at 5 for dinner. I just took the medicine and didn’t want to go far from the bathroom… lol, might be too much info. However, it does make the story! So we walked over to the condo a little past 5.
The condo was locked. My parent’s car was gone. So, I was immediately upset thinking my family left without us. Eric was not upset like I was. I was attempting to call every family member. Mom, dad, brother, sister in law… no one was answering. I then texted my mom accusing her of being rude for not waiting! LOL. Eric still was not mad which got me even more frustrated. He then asked me to go for a walk to my spot. I asked him why he would want to do that … that I don’t feel well and don’t want to go far from a bathroom. He is laughing and smirking at me. I then was becoming even angry.
We started walking to my spot and I said to him I don’t want to go far. I wanted to be near a bathroom. LoL, he then said he got me something and it’s at the trail. I said to him what could you possibly have gotten me? He said a lizard! (And I said that is not coming home with us! lol) Then I kinda starting having an idea. We got to the trail he proposed then around the corner under the gazebo my family was there with champagne.
We love kayaking, especially with our dogs. Hiking. Going on the motorcycle together
Long car rides together always lead to a fight. Eric likes to push all my buttons including singing in a high pitch voice
Wedding plans are coming along slowly! I have taken a break over the last few weeks. My wedding day vision is for everything to run smoothly it doesn’t have to go directly with my schedule but the most important thing to me is for everyone to have fun.
The biggest piece of advice is don’t feel like you have to get it done all at once! Enjoy it and the little moments.
I am a Registered Operating room nurse and Eric is starting as a Hooksett police officer former project manager at a local landscaping company.
Congratulations these two!! And wish Eric Good luck as he enters the next chapter of his life!! (in the Policy Academy!! ) . I had a blast spending time with you both during your Light and Airy engagement session at Alyson’s Orchard. And I look forward to many more fun times!! ( Party at my place and Bone frog!! LOL)
