When I first spoke to Monique about her upcoming Wedding at the Wentworth Country Club, I knew that this was going to be a special event.
Like many of my couples, Monique and Zach had to plan two weddings. (Many thanks to everyone’s new BFF- COVID! (Insert Sarcasm here), which causes a roller coaster of emotions along the way. But… in the end, everything works out perfectly.
In the light of the current pandemic- I’m really starting to see these weddings as fairy tales. The story starts out with Boy meets Girl. They fall in love and get engaged. All is great, only to have the Villain (COVID), make its dreadful presence. However, in the end… Love wins! This just goes to show that Good Always trumps Evil. You can’t cancel love.
Monique and Zach chose not to let the villain win! They chose to change their plans to adapt to the “new normal”. And guess what?? Not only was it absolutely stunning, but they were able to celebrate their love, exchange their vows, and start their happily ever after!
These two met in College! They attended Clemson University, where they ended up meeting, not only each other, but a group of the most amazing friends anyone could ever ask for!
They were married on Sunday, but the festivities started way earlier that that! These friends met on the rooftop of the AC Marriott Hotel for drinks, and then headed up the road for a fun wine tasting at Labell’s tasting room in Portsmouth. And while we did get some great photos… I really wanted to focus on the wedding day!
So here is just one photo of Monique and Zach!
So why don’t we get on to the wedding day! It was so beautiful…so there’s a lot I want to show! So let’s get to it! LOL
One thing that always makes my heart skip a beat, is when I see such strong bonds and friendships. This was definitely the case for Monique and her best friends.
Monique was surrounded by the most amazing bridesmaids and bridesmen! Each one hilarious, fun and supportive.
Like his bride, Zach was also surrounded by the most amazing group of family and friends.
Getting to know both Monique and Zach over the last few months, I have to say that they are so very special! Each one has a heart of gold.
Seeing them together on their wedding day was magical. There were so many tender moments between the couple.
For Starters, I want to have a shout out to the Staff here at the Wentworth Country Club! (Especially Jenna!)
Wedding days require so many moving parts, and a lot of teamwork from the vendors. This venue, isn’t only absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous, it truly is a venue that values their couples And the other vendors!
