Caroline and Brandon are one of the most adorable couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with. And I am super proud to say that I was their engagement AND their wedding photographer, which always feels like I did my job right! I met these lovebirds for their engagement session at Great Island Common and instantly fell in love with their bond and energy, and I just knew that I wanted to witness these two become husband and wife! The couple got married at the beautiful Bedford Village Inn, and from their engagement photo shoot to the big day – these two didn’t change at all! Just as they did for their engagement session, their priority on the wedding day, too, was to have fun. And the photos are proof!
I started shooting Caroline and Brandon’s wedding day with their getting ready portraits. I remember that during their engagement session Caroline mentioned that she was excited thinking about walking down the aisle. So it felt really good to be standing next to her and photographing her as she was about to do that.
Caroline was extremely emotional, and there were a lot of happy tears. At one point, when she was getting ready, my bride was holding back her tears, trying not to cry, and her bridesmaids just started singing to her (and really loud) and jumping up and down. It definitely helped. I loved how the bridesmaids supported Caroline emotionally, cheered her up, hugged her, and gave her all the warmth she needed at that moment. Extra points to #teambride! Meanwhile, our groom, Brandon, was getting ready with his dapper groomsmen, who were as sweet as they come.
Caroline and Brandon looked absolutely stunning, and I was eager to see how their first look would turn out. The couple’s first look was pure bliss. The emotions and love that rushed through them were so pure. When Brandon saw his wife-to-be looking so graceful and elegant in white, he got teary-eyed – it was so emotional. And Brandon, if you are reading this, I totally get you! Caroline looked like a dream! Adding a touch of their unique personalities to the first look, Caroline had brought out a bottle of Jagermeister, so they could each take a shot together. It was a real treat to photograph these two.
Caroline and Brandon’s wedding decor was very classy and simple. And not just the bride, all the girls wore white. Following the classy and simple theme, their bouquets were just white roses as well. The couple decided to get married outdoors, and since the weather was on our side that day, the wedding ceremony was absolutely picture-perfect. Watching Caroline walk down the aisle with her father was such a heartwarming moment, taking me back to how this was the part of the wedding she really looked forward to.
During the ceremony, each of the groomsmen went up to hug the groom. I’ve never seen a more tight-knit group of friends. It was really touching to see how much love and support Caroline and Brandon were surrounded with on their wedding day. The couple is also very close to Brandon’s mother, and she was the one who married them. It was sooo sweet.
I loved how the bride and groom did not hold back their true selves and had all the fun enjoying their special day. During their engagement session, I remember them saying how they still love to make out. HAHA. And it’s true. They are very affectionate and I love how they never shy away from any PDA, making the couples portraits even better!
The father-daughter danced to Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline, and it was SO special. The ENTIRE wedding, by which I mean all the guests, were up singing along while Caroline danced with her dad. It was certainly one of the most liveliest crowds I’ve ever seen, and they sure loved to party! The one last element of fun Caroline and Brandon added to their wedding was their fantastic sparkler exit, which is also the best time to get candid of the newlyweds smiling from ear to ear!
Caroline and Brandon, thank you for making me a part of your special day. I was honored to be your engagement and your wedding photographer! Thank you for the great energy you both bring to the table. I loved working with you, and I look forward to photographing your future milestones! I wish you both a very happy marriage!
